M.E. LaZerte remains at the forefront of secondary education in Edmonton, and they consistently rank in areas of excellence in the annual Alberta Accountability Pillar results. M.E. LaZerte is unique and distinctive. They are transforming education by personalizing it; building on achievement by discovering the individual talents of each student, creating an environment where they want to learn, and crafting learning experiences where students can discover their true passion.
This re-brand began in the summer of 2016 and was my first freelance project. The primary logo is their official school logo which is found on their website, branding, and school building. Their secondary logo (the LV in a circle) started as an initial concept idea and the client loved it so much that they wanted to keep it, even though it doesn't pass the school boards requirements. LV stands for "LaZerte Voyagers" which is the schools team name. The colour palette did not change from their previous logo.
